This position will be responsible for providing financial and client support surrounding the Sales Force. Primarily focused on headcount structure and their direct costs such as Compensation, Telephone, Fleet, T&E. This support includes preparing Budgets/Forecasts as well as project approval and tracking (projects workspaces, contracts, accruals, monthly closings). Will work closely with Head of Sales for the Oncology, Surgery, Synvisc, Renal, CV and CTRM Business Units to drive results and help them control their forecasts / budgets.
Job Duties:
Develop expense budgets/forecasts for the field force which includes direct support for a headcount of approximately 1000; Identify risks and opportunities that affect the achievement of the! se forecasts and allocating sales force spend to product brands.
Participate in the monthly closing process, including validation of project accruals, booking journal entries and preparing account analysis; Provide monthly commentary to explain variances between actual results and budgets/forecasts; Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, providing a clear explanation of balance fluctuations
Tracking of headcount on a monthly basis and comparing to budgeted and forecasted vacancy rates.
Educate client groups on all aspects of financial policies and processes to ensure full compliance; Approve projects spend and ensuring projects are budgeted properly; Assist in preparation of AED Executive Summaries for all projects requiring Corporate approval
Ad hoc projects as required.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with an area of specializa! tion in Accounting or Finance
3-5 years of diversified financial/co! ntrolling experience
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA or CPA
Pharmaceutical industry experience
Experience with TM1 and SAP
Strong Excel skills
Strong analytical capabilities
