AHS is looking to hire a Full-time Scheduler to work in Pre-Admission Test/Screen department with rotating shifts. The selected candidate will have an HS diploma, at least 1 year of experience in a clerical position in a hospital/physician’s office, and knowledge of Medical Terminology. A successful candidate will schedule Surgery and Pre Admission Testing appointments electronically. Co-ordinates ! scheduling activities with multiple internal and external customers, including Surgical Services staff; surgeon office staff; patients’ Anesthesia Dept.
for Anesthesia Consults; Medical Ed Dept. for Medical Evaluations; and ancillary clinical departments for testing. Assesses pre-surgery testing orders according to guidelines and troubleshoots discrepancies. Exceeds patient and surgeon office staff expectations by accommodating changes in previously arranged appointments.
Uses multiple computer applications with confidence, speed and a high degree of accuracy.
