Medical Devices &! Diagnostics Global Services, LLC., a member of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Six Sigma Productivity Manager to support the OCD, ASP, DCF franchise. The ideal candidate will be located in Raritan, NJ.
Medical Devices & Diagnostics Global Services, LLC., represents more than 60 manufacturing sites and 26,000 employees who plan, source, manufacture and deliver high-quality and cost-effective medical products to our customers around the globe each day. Work of the MD&D SC supports a multitude of product platforms, new products and delivery systems that are used in a wide range of procedures throughout the healthcare industry, including interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, minimally invasive surgery, hospital sterilization, clinical laboratory testing, diabetes management, joint replacement surgery and vision care.
The Six Sigma Productivity Manager is responsible for leading and deploying the Six Sigma and Productivit! y Program initiatives within the cluster. He/She will lead, an! alyze, design and improves business processes by enlisting and influencing cross-functional teams delivering tangible business results through the application of DMAI2C methodologies and tools. Utilizing their business, leadership and technical skills, the Six Sigma/Productivity Lead will both execute projects and mentor all groups (associate to management) within the cluster.
The Six Sigma Productivity Manager will be responsible for working with plant leaders in identifying business opportunities to improve process quality, delivery and cost performance.
Facilitate cross-functional alignment on Quality, Delivery and Cost improvement objectives.To facilitate the proper allocation of resources with the right priorities and methodologies (DMAI2C) to meet the Cluster's objectives for each planning cycle. The Six Sigma Productivity Manager will present cost improvement analysis on a monthly basis and review with manufacturing leadership staff. The candidate w! ill complete financial, quality compliance, technical and regulatory assessments for improvement projects with significant impact on strategic Quality, Delivery and Cost improvement goals. The Six Sigma Productivity Manager will lead projects that optimize value for multiple plants and end-to-end value streams.
The Six Sigma Productivity Manager will enable the Cluster organization to develop best practices to reduce process variation and the local organization to execute Quality, Delivery and Cost improvement projects. They will establish a Six Sigma competency model and talent development requirements. The Six Sigma Productivity Manager will drives continuous improvement and transformational results through the end-to-end value streams. They will facilitate review strategic projects' objectives, assumptions, and validation decisions. Facilitates project portfolio reviews with the manufacturing leadership staff and provides clear line of sight to Actual vs Target ! performance.
Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelors ! degree in an Engineering or Science discipline is required. An advanced degree, such an MS or an MBA is preferred. Six Sigma certification as Black Belt is required or Master Black Belt is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or support functions environment is required. A minimum of 2 years of People Leadership is preferred.
Experience in developing and executing Change Management plans is preferred. Experience with Statistical Process Control, process characterization, ANOVA, DOE, Hypothesis Testing, pFMEA's and/or dFMEA's is required. Experience in a highly regulated environment (FDA, ISO, etc) is a requirement. Prior experience in leading a team of technical resources (engineers, technicians) is preferred. Experienced as instructor and practitioner of DMAIC methodology is required. A minimum of 2 years of Strong Project management Skills is required.
Experienced in developing talent is preferred. Excellent verbal! and written communication skills. Strong decision making and problem solving skills. Outstanding interpersonal relationship and people skills. Ability to function as a team player and work in a matrixed, cross functional organization is required.
The preferred location for this position is one that has access to a Global Medical Solutions (GMS) manufacturing site such as Raritan, NJ, Jacksonville, Fl, Limerick, Ireland, Aguadilla, PR or Inverness, Scotland
This position will require up to 40% domestic and international travel.
