LPN desirable. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required.

Ability to read an! d interpret documents such as OR patient logs, patient charts, MD office notes, computer software operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals essential. Knowledge of medical terminology is required. Knowledge of CPT and ICD 9/10 codes and data entry experience is preferred. Selected candidate will assist with organization and implementation of the American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (NSQIP) and Trauma Registry Data Base and assume responsibility for data collection, transcription, data entry and maintenance.

This will include transcription of data from internal AHS data bases onto Excel spreadsheets for screening of cases. Under direction of Trauma Registrar, performing variety of duties involving coordination of the Trauma Registry, assisting in the identification of all trauma cases daily, completing all data collection, verifying information and ensuring all trauma data is entered into the computerized MMC! Trauma Registry. Position will enter all program data from da! ta abstract sheet into NSQIP website database, collaborate with MD offices to obtain the NSQIP 30-day patient follow up information related to post-operative complications, assist in the maintenance of the daily patient list, complete trauma discharge registry, file received data and source documents, maintain logs of activities and completed work, assist in the development and distribution of routine trauma and NSQIP reports, run quarterly reports for department business meetings, participate in monthly NSQIP teleconferences, and assist Trauma Coordinator and Injury Prevention Coordinator in special projects as needed. .
