We are now seeking a key new member of our Large Animal team to join us as we develop new models and methods to best prepare our graduates to face the global opportunities and challen! ges of veterinary medicine in the 21 st century.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The position responsibilities include participation in teaching principles of large animal medicine and surgery to veterinary students in several team-taught courses, including Surgery II, Introduction to Clinics, Essential Veterinary skills, and as appropriate lectures in large animal medicine and/or surgery courses. The successful candidate will contribute to the team’s responsibility for ensuring that all aspects of the large animal related courses comply with requirements for national and international accreditation, and facilitate optimal student learning. Additionally we seek candidates with interest in participating in and developing research projects as well as producing quality publications.

Qualifications:
A successful applicant will be expected to possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work w! ith others in a collegial team atmosphere. Candidates with interest in ! innovation in approaches to learning and teaching, in an undergraduate veterinary curriculum are preferred. A DVM or equivalent degree is required. Practitioner board certification (ABVP) is preferred.
