Surgical Technician

Location: Marlton New Jersey

Description: Maxim Nurse Staffing is employing Surgical Technician right now, this vacancy will be placed in New Jersey. More complete informations about this vacancy opportunity please read the description below. We are currently looking for 1-2 surgical technologists to cover PRN shifts in Southern New Jersey. All interested candidates must possess a New Jersey certification and have 1+ years work experience! in order to qualify for the position. The surgical tech may be asked to perform any combination of tasks before, during, and after surgery to assist the surgical team. All interested candidates please contact our office as soon as possible so you can start picking up shifts.

Responsibilities include:

• Places equipment and supplies in operating room and arranges instruments, according to instructions.
• Assists team members to place and position patient on table.
• Scrubs arms and hands and dons gown and gloves.
• Aids team to don gowns and gloves.
• Maintains supply of fluids, such as plasma, saline, blood, and glucose for use during operation.

Qualifications include:

• High School diploma or its equivalent.
• Graduated from an accredited Surgical Technologist training program with subsequent certification in surgical technology.
• (Tissue Processing Technologist â€" only) Pr! efer a degree in biology related field which includes a degree! /certification as a Surgical Technologist.
• Current CPR card.
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current Health Certificate (if applicable)
