As the Surgical First Assistant, you will partner with renowned surgical practices to optimize surgical performance and deliver exceptional patient care. In this role y! ou will be responsible strictly to perform first assistants’ duties in the operating room.
Additional responsibilities of the Surgical First Assistant include:
Review all surgical patient’s surgical consent forms, history and physical prior to scrubbing if they are available.
Prep and drape surgical patients as needed and as requested by the Attending Surgeon;
Assist in surgery;
Close incision lines as requested by Attending Surgeon;
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Completion of a physician assistant education program approved by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA)
Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
OR
NJ State Registered Nurse license, Graduate of RNFA program, CNOR, Basic Life Support (BLS).
Minimum 3 years of recent multi-specialty surgical first assist experience or equivalent.
! Laparoscopic and Davinci Robotics experience preferred
