Facility Description:
The Atlantic City Medical Center (ACMC) has 581 beds in the two divisions: 1. City Division is a busy metropolitan hospital, serving the resident population and the 35 million tourists who visit each year. The Emergency Department has 66,000 annual ER visits.
2. Mainland Division averages 52,000 annual visits, with 18 hours of double coverage and 10 hours of triple coverage.
Both locations are associated with Atlanticare Health system and affiliated with Jefferson Health System and DuPont Hospital for Children. It is the regions only neonatal ICU and comprehensive cancer center. As well as the area's only Level II Trauma Center. The Division's Heart Institute has the region's first and only cardiac surgery. In addition t! o Mainland, they have just recently built a brand new $30 million ED, with 32 rooms, digital radiology, and CT scan.
