We are currently seeking experienced Medical Science Liaisons to create and develop KOL relationships, provide scientific and research support to opinion leaders and other healthcare providers and support the clinical research program through involvement in key internal scientific initiatives. This is a full-time field-based position. Our client, a biopharmaceutical company, supports this program.

Position Description:
- Identify, establish, and maintain scientific relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)
- Work with KOLs to identify topics, in alignment with CNS scientific focus, that are of interest to the medical community
- Act as primary liaison to investigators interested in developing and performing investigator driven research proposals which support strategically aligned objectives
- Present approved scientific data to HCPs in both group and one-on-one settings in accordance with company policies, applicable laws, regulations and ethical standards
- Support the clinical operations organization, as needed, with sponsor sponsored clinical trials
- Identify and communicate new scientific findings and opportunities or threats that could impact the product portfolio
- Contribute to the development and feedback on literature searches, slide kits, and scientific presentations to various external customers in alignment with strategic plans
- Provide scientific support in the development of clinical publications guided by strategic publication plans
- Attend and provide scientific support at R&D exhibits and scientific sessions at regional, national, and international medical conferences. Organize and chair roundtable meetings as needed
- Actively participate in advisory boards and clinical investigator meetings
- Maintain scientific and medical expertise within assigned therapeutic area through ongoing independent learning
- Educate payers (Health plans, Medicare, Medicaid), key decision makers (PT members, KOLs, pharmacists), agents (specialty pharmacy, GPO, and PBM5); dif! ferentiate products based on clinical (efficacy side effect profiles) a! nd economic data; influence formulary coverage
- Implement activities into a web-based CRM system
- Produce high quality reports and paperwork
- Demonstrate EngageCE key attributes
Position Requirements:
- PharmD, PhD, or MD with CNS clinical experience preferred
- Relevant residency, fellowship, research, or other CNS clinical experience strongly desired
- 3+ years of prior Medical Science Liaison experience preferred
- Intellectual curiosity and intelligence about the field of science/medicine for CNS diseases
- Highly motivated and capable of comprehending large amounts of scientific content which is then communicated in a clear, concise fashion
- Significant direct experience in servicing customer needs for complex information
- Advanced presentation and computer skills with expertise in literature identification and evaluation.
- Familiarity! with the academic community and the medical research and medical education process highly valued
- Strategic thinking & planning skills and superior organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, listening, presentations)
- Strong interpersonal skills, including capability to engage in professional relationship building and networking
- Possess a commitment to high standards and quality care
- Confident and enthusiastic with a positive attitude
