Description

Seeking medical director for a late-stage development program in transplantatio! n, reporting to the Vice-President of GCR Immunoscience. As a key scientific and clinical leader for the product serves as a core member of the development team. Strategically contributes to the overall clinical plan for the program by soliciting and integrating input from statistics, regulatory, outcomes research, marketing and other experts. Ensures that studies are aligned with patient needs and commercial objectives, and are rigorously designed, conducted and interpreted. Oversees the review of study-related safety and efficacy data and integrates this information in order to detect relevant patterns and makes study modifications or start/stop recommendations as needed. Provides timely updates to program leads and governance committees. Provides medical and scientific expertise to BMS colleagues in drug discovery, labeling, regulatory, outcomes research, and marketing/commercial departments. Initiates and develops key relationships with internal and external stakeholder! s (Key Opinion Leaders, Advisory Boards, and steering committe! es.) Provides medical/scientific perspective regarding pricing, reimbursement, quality of life, publications needed at launch, lifecycle management etc. in order to achieve the program's overall objectives.

As a member of the Immunoscience therapeutic area, the candidate will have the opportunity to provide as needed input to the overall disease area strategy, due diligence for strategic transactions, and expertise to early development projects.

Qualifications

Two plus years of industry experience and a passion for drug development are necessary. Prior experience leading clinical trials or some important aspect thereof preferred. Must have demonstrated originality and innovation in problem solving as applied to drug development. Excellent interpersonal skills at a variety of levels in a collaborative and effective manner, including experience working in a matrix environment. MD or PhD degree is required. Training in Nephrology, Transplantation, Al! lergy & Immunology, Internal Medicine or Surgery, and/or relevant experience preferred. Board eligible or certified.
