Princeton HealthCare System is currently searching for a per diem, days, Certified OR Tech for the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro, Monroe Surgical Center.
Position Summary:
Performs a wide range of technological duties by:
Acquiring and maintaining knowledge of the principle! s of infection control, aseptic technique, and sterilization. ! Applies these skills appropriately.
Acquiring and maintaining the knowledge to assist the surgeon during surgical procedures.
Acquiring and maintaining knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation, and equipment.
Qualifications:
All PHCS employees are required to receive an annual influenza vaccine unless they are granted a medical or religious exemption.
Required:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Surgical Technologist Certification
- At least two years Main Operating Room experience
- Above average dexterity skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required; professionalism essential
- Also required are a customer service orientation, a teamwork approach, flexibility, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program is strongly preferred
- Above average! written and verbal skills
- Dual certified in central processing as well as a scrub technician is strongly preferred
