For detail informations about this career opportunity please read the description below. AHS is seeking a candidate for a per diem Medical Records Specialist position. Shift is 8am-4pm. A H.S diploma is required. Coding experience and CCS preferred. Completion of a coding certification course required. Candidate selected for this position will code outpatient emergency room records with ICD-9 and CPT codes and eventually ICD-10 codes come 10/1/14. The chartmaxx chart system, the ED PICIS system, McKesson Star Abstracting and the 3M encoder will all be used to complete the necessary tasks of ER coding and charging. Other outpatient encounters may a! lso be coded (same day surgery, cardiac caths, etc.)
