Reporting to the Executive Vice President, COO, the Senior Vice President, Nursing for Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital will be responsible and accountable for:
  • Developing and implementing nursing strategy and system policies to ensure quality patient care and patient expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Developing and implementing hospital-specific, patient-focused management programs, nursing practice guidelines, nursing quality indicators, nursing research-based practices and clinical pathways.
  • Overseeing the integration of the care delivery system at the hospital so that patient care needs are met within financial, Joint Commission, Depa! rtment of Health, and other regulatory guidelines.
  • Managing an! annual budget in excess of $170 million.
  • Providing strong leadership to over 2,000 staff and creativity in the development of processes and systems that maintain Robert Wood Johnson†s patient satisfaction.
  • Communicating effectively and on a timely basis with all physicians.
  • Participating in and supporting system-wide performance improvement and quality care initiatives.
