Overview:
Purpose Summary: The Contract Administrator/Paralegal will provide support to the Legal Department in the following areas: preparation, review, and processing of legal documents using form templates and perform due diligence on incoming contract packets to ensure compliance to CHLA policies; and assist in analyzing and organizing information.

Minimum Education: At least one of the following: a) a paralegal certificate from a paralegal program, b) a degree from a secondary institution which requires at least 31 semester units in law-related and/or business courses; or c) current enrollment in either with pending certificate or degree.

Minimum Experience: At least 8 years of experience with administering and managing legal documents under the supervision of an attorney.

License, Registration or Certification Required: Notary Public license preferred but not required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Writer, MediTract, PeopleSoft and/or other similar or related contract administration software/database applications. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, capable of multi-tasking and prioritizing workload effectively, detail oriented, and a team player. Willingness to undertake almost any legal task. Must possess the ability to positively interact with patients, employees, and Medical Staff.
Pay Scale Information: USD $52,208.00 - USD $94,099.20

Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
