Description
The Infection Prevention Account Representative will represent and develop 3M's Asepsis and Sterilization business into integrated health systems and independent hospitals with the assigned territory.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Clinical and concept selling of surgical/sterilization products to acute care call points, including surgeons, operating room nursing, central sterile processing, managers, labor and delivery, cath lab, and infection control
Responsible for driving sales growth through collaborative efforts with other Medical Division sales personnel, distribution, and OEM partners
Understands and effectively communicates clinical/business solutions to surgeons, operating room personnel, central services, and other relevant key call points
Drives sales growth through customer/product knowledge, ability to identify key opportunities, gain access, and to implement marketing plan
Responsible for all appropriate Medical Division products in the surgery center environment - hospital owned or managed
Considers legal and ethical constraints, as well as company policy and goals when making decisions
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status)
Qualifications
Basic Qualfications:
Minimum of a Bachelors degree is required
Minimum of five (5) years health care sales experience is required
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience calling on surgeons and peri-operative nurses and Infection Control in the acute care setting
Strong clinical and concept selling skills
Experience dealing with national contract, including negotiation and distribution management
Good computer skills, specifically Excel and Lotus
Good communication skills with the ability to lead and teach others
