Work of the MD&D SC supports a multitude of product platforms, new products and delivery systems that are used in a wide range of procedures throughout the healthcare industry, including interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, minimally invasive surgery, hospital sterilization, clinical laboratory testing, diabetes management, joint replacement surgery and vision care.Client serves the transfusion medicine community and laboratories around the world. Our single focus is to help hospitals, laboratories and blood centers worldwide deliver results that help patients experience a better quality of life.

The Reliability Engineer is responsible for reliability and maintainability of manufacturing and facilities equipment. Minimize maintenance costs while protecting and prolonging the productive life of assets. Implement and optimize Predictive Maintenance processes. Act as liaison to Engineering in order to support new equipment installations, startup and development. Optimize PM regimens and spare parts stores to mitigate unscheduled maintenance. Maintains equipment technical library.

Develop and implement engineering solutions to eliminate repetitive failures through the application of root cause failure analysis and other processes. Primary owner/user of equipment history. Through analysis of equipment history and application of technical skills, develop, implement and facilitate equipment improvements. Develop and maintain equipment improvement punch lists.

Defines, develops and monitors predictive maintenance programs. Optimize Predictive maintenance processes (Vibration, Infra-red, ultrasonic). Serve as a Maintenance liaison to Engineering. Supports new equipment installations and equipment modifications. Identifies and facilitates training of maintenance technicians.

Ensure all new assets are installed and maintained optimally through the applications of proactive Reliability Centered Maintenance techniques. (Critically Analysis; FMECA’s; etc.). Ensures the maintainability of new and modified installations. Ensures appropriate spare parts, PM’s, predictive maintenance procedures are in place.

Qualifications

High School diploma is required. Additional training beyond High School, Associates degree or certificate in related industrial maintenance technology program a plus. Experience working in manufacturing environment; Maintenance and troubleshooting experience with advanced industrial equipment. Must have very strong technical skills and strong communication and organizational skills. Knowledge and experience with CMMS a plus.

Must be able to adapt or modify methods to meet varying situations. Must be able to take action as indicated by approved policies and accepted standard practices. The candidate must be creative in taking action in the absence of instructions and develop new and/or improved work methods. Must be able to instruct and advise others in work details, direct and assign work to group of permanently assigned employees.

Must be proficient with Microsoft MS Office Suite PC (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) are required. This position will be based in Raritan, NJ.
