Main Function: Through the nursing process, delivers quality care to patients via a team effort in working with other RN, and directing/guiding LPNs and PCAs. Promotes patient satisfaction, utilizing principles of the Pride in Caring program. Also assures patient safety by executing appropriate policies. Works with other healthcare professionals, including case managers, to optimize patient outcomes and customer satisfaction. Surgical services includes procedures related to general surgery, same day surgery and endoscopy.
Job Qualifications:
Assesses and treats patients ranging in age from child, adolescent, adult to geriatric. Each job responsibility requires that employees in this position competently maintain and are evaluated on the skills to obtain and interpret information, a knowledge of growth and development and an understanding of the range of treatment needed as appropriate to the ages of those patients.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN or BSN in progress preferred. Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of New Jersey.
One (1) year of medical surgical experience. CNOR preferred.
